About Carol

I'm the founder and principal of Camerino Consulting LLC (as well as Job Seekers - Looking For The On Ramp and Restarting Your Career Academy).

To say I love what I get to do would be an understatement. And I think that stems from what I refer to as my 'superhero power'. Seriously....for as long as I can remember (back to even being a little girl), I always saw possibility, potential, and talent...even in difficult and challenging situations. 

As I got older, this super power served to position me into the role of confidante, encourager, super-listener, and care-er. And as I became seasoned with life experience and learned about the importance of boundaries (and the good old 'put your own oxygen mask on before you help anyone else'  credo), this super power has transformed into the grace-filled gift of being able to identify {quickly} and feel someone's gifts and strengths so incredibly clearly -- even when he/she/they don't even see it themself!! 

Most importantly, it has contributed to my work as a coach and career consultant...and for that, I am especially grateful.

So, as I am working with someone, I often find myself holding space for them as they play catch up to see what I see - and to realize their gifts/talents/strengths are so needed in this world! My training as a coach helps me in this 'holding space' idea..because my role is to support a job seeker in their self discovery. And once the awareness has arrived, they are so ready to show up with confidence and presence that is quite something to behold. 

A bit more about me in terms of credentials: I have a degree in Psychology, studied Educational Counseling in grad school, and possess a bunch of coaching certifications...brain-based coaching, career coaching, coaching people through difficult transitions, and more. I am a 'learn it all' and dedicate time and resources every year to continued 'sharpening of my saw', to quote Steven Covey. In addition, I am a member of the Career Thought Leaders Consortium, The National Resume Writers' Association (and a former Boardmember), and The Career Directors International. 

Prior to launching my own business, I worked in corporate HR at a Fortune 100 company, recruiting at a professional services firm, and have woven writing/Public Relations into my roles and work because I love them. 

By way of a few totally random bits...

-I love coffee and will happily share my recommendations for the best cuppa EVER if you ask!

-Sadly, my sweet nearly 19 year old poodle mix (I used to tell people she was a 'cutie-poo') died this summer...but we opened our hearts to a rescue dog from Sochi, Russia this fall -- and it has been a complete delight gettting to know her and adding her to our family. She seems to be some type of German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, Beagle combo...and we look forward to receiving her DNA test results soon.
